This isn't a giving up post, I promise.
I'm starting to realize goal-setting (in terms of things like #WriteMotivation) isn't the way for me to get things done. Sure, I set goals, but they're private goals that I hold myself accountable for. You'd think that if I had a bunch of nice, like-minded people supporting me, I'd be better at holding myself accountable, right?
If anything, my goal-reaching abilities seem to be hindered by the added pressure (if you can even call it that) of "disappointing" other people. (Not that I would be disappointing anyone but myself by not working, but that's kind of how it feels.) For some inexplicable reason, I can't keep myself on track when I join in on things meant to motivate. The sole exception to that is NaNoWriMo, although I do sometimes struggle through that as well.
This is just a shameful update where I confess to not writing enough. Next Tuesday, I hope to blog about how much writing I've gotten done. (Not to mention, Masquerade releases next Tuesday... I can't wait!)
