Unmasked or Bust! & A New Kitten!?

Posted by Robyn Pierce on February 8, 2014 at 6:00 PM

I've gotten less writing done than I hoped to this past week. :( However, I've come across RSSWWF. It's short for Ruby Slippered Sisterhood Winter Writing Festival (GOSH, that's a mouthful! I can hardly even think it without getting tongue-tied. :P) and they have a daily chat room for writing sprints. I came into it a little late (uhh, actually, about halfway through, lol) so I don't really expect to 'win' it, but I can get a lot done in the meantime! If anyone wants to check it out, here: RSSWWF. This year is the 4th annual festival, so it'll come back around next year for anyone interested!

 An update on Ruby:

I've pretty much given up on the thought of ABNA, but not because I don't think I can do it or I've lost hope. My MS is simply nowhere near ready enough for me to enter it and be satisfied with the result. I could have gotten it done in time for submissions to start, but I would have had to work at least 15 hours a day to get it in shape like I would want. Ruby (and the rest of Hell's Gems, for that matter) are far too important for me to be able to turn them into rush jobs. :)

With that said...

For #WriteMotivation (and February in general) I'll be switching my focus where I intended for it to be all along: finishing Unmasked, book 4 of The Lanistter Chronicles. After that's finished, I'll finish Decadent Embrace. It's funny (and probably terrible) that I have more work done for that than I do for Unmasked.

Now, for the promised kitten...

Meet Gracie!

She's the newest addition to my family. We got her from a local no-kill shelter yesterday, and she's already made herself at home. She's sweet and I can't wait for her to officially meet our other two fur-babies, Joy & Hiroki.

In case you haven't seen pictures of Joy or Hiroki, here they are!

Until next time!

You have three cute babies! It sounds like you are putting the energy where it needs to be. You're doing amazing. Keep up the good work and have fun with the new kitty.
